Hey Community,

Going away for more than a weekend? Get a 30-day pass to the United States.

We know that depending on where you're travelling, and for how long, your travel connectivity needs might change.

You can now pay a one-time fee to cover the cost of US roaming on your account for 30 days, and access your plan’s data, talk and text features like you would at home.

To get the 30-day US travel pass, log in to MyRogers:

  • Select Manage beside the number you want the travel pass on.
  • From there, select Manage add-ons and then choose 30-Day US Travel Pass.

Your 30 days of roaming will begin immediately after getting the add-on. Click here to add it to your account.

Let us know if you have questions!

We have more than one number on our account. Do we pay for each one?

Hey @SAM0762 & @JRE1,

Good question!

The 30-day travel pass needs to be added to each number, you will be using while roaming, as it is line-specific. It is not valid for the whole account.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Safe travels!

What's the difference between Roam Like Home and the 30 day travel pass?

Hi @js88, welcome to the Community!

This is a good question! Roam Like Home is $14/day in the US. The 30 day US Travel pass is $60. If you're planning to be in the US for 3 or more days, you'd get a better value with the US Travel pass.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

If I buy the US travel pass, does Roam like home automatically get canceled?

Hi @Rg241

Thank you for your inquiry. No, the Travel Pass will not turn off or cancel your Roam Like Home but allows you peace of mind that you will only be charged that one-time amount while in the US for those 30 days.

Good day @Luckykg1010101,

Good question!

To use your device while travelling, make sure that data roaming is turned on and that your phone isn’t in airplane mode.

Your device should automatically connect to a carrier when roaming. If it doesn’t, try connecting to a network manually. If you’re still unable to use your device, you could in in an area that’s not serviced by a local carrier.

Check out Using your phone while travelling FAQs for more info!

We are travelling to the US and plan to use the 30-day U.S. Travel Pass instead of Roam Like home because we will be away for more than a few days.  Could you please help with the following?

We understand that as as soon as we add the 30-day US Travel Pass to our plan, the 30 days will begin immediately.

But do we need to take any steps to avoid additional Roam like Home charges on top of the 30-day travel pass while it is in effect  in the US?  (we confirmed we are enrolled in Roam like Home).  Or if we buy the 30-day travel pass, does it automatically suspend the usual Roam Like home daily charges for that 30 day period?

Also, while we are travelling on the 30-day US Travel Pass, will we still have the use of our Intl Preferred Rate + Txt for which we currently pay $5.00 /month? Thanks in advance.
