Hello,
After the end of a term with a 1.5 Gbps plan I was offered an upgrade to 2 Gbps for the same offer price. The date of service change was set to June 11th (today) and I received an email with PDFs with the residential service agreement, terms of service and critical informatino summary. The PDFs confirm that my plan is changing on June 11th.
I was told that I should receive a new modem as well (I assume the XB8?). As of right now I haven't heard anything from rogers and MyRogers still shows my old plan. I have not received any shipment notifications either.
Is this a problem? do you know when I should expect to receive a shipment notification? there is also no orders listed when I ask the MyRogers robot chat or go to My Orders on MyRogers.
Thanks a lot!

@Qubit Try rebooting your modem/gateway by power-cycling it, then run a speed test from the Xfinity app to see if you got upgraded to the higher speed tier.
If you already have an XB7 gateway, you won't necessarily get upgraded to the XB8. The XB7 and XB8 are actually fairly similar internally, and both support speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. The primary difference is that the XB8 has a Wi-Fi 6E chipset. If you do not have any Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 devices that you use at close range, there is not much benefit to upgrading. You also run the risk of introducing Wi-Fi incompatibilities with older devices.

Hello again,
on the My Rogers site it still says that I am on Xfinity 1.5Gbps so it has not updated there yet either. Does that take some delay too? I do have an XB7.

For further reference, here are some screen captures form the documents received by email.
Thanks a lot!

Your MyRogers Internet page should have been updated. However, it's also possible that the provisioning change took effect before MyRogers updated. That's why I suggested rebooting your gateway.

An update and another puzzling question: I received the new modem on Wednesday (exactly the same I had before, XB7) after connecting the new modem I got the 2Gb speed (tested, speed went up both upload and download) however two things have (not) happened:
-on myrogers it still shows the old service, 1.5 Gb with the old product.
-I have not received a waybill to return the old modem.
I am puzzled as what's going on and I'm a bit afraid about how billing will be handled. Does anybody have any further insight?
