South of Midnight is an upcoming third-person action-adventure with a unique Southern Gothic twist. You play as Hazel, a magic weaver who uses thread-based powers to fight, explore, and uncover a world full of folklore and mystery. Combat appears to be smooth and rhythmic, with a focus on timing and creativity over brute force. Hazel’s powers help her glide through the environment, solve light puzzles, and battle eerie creatures inspired by Southern and African American legends. The game’s got a dreamy, stop-motion art style and a bluesy soundtrack that gives it tons of atmosphere. It’s unique, cool, and unlike anything else out there.
