Rogers is now airing a new TV commercial promoting Xfinity TV. In it, you will see Keanu Reeves holding the new XR100 voice remote and, on the televisions, we see an updated look to the on-screen UI. The commercial is clearly pitching Xfinity TV, not any other streaming offering. Could this be a signal that we will soon (finally!) see upgraded hardware (running Entertainment OS) and new features/capabilities coming to Xfinity TV?

The new remote and set-top box (an XiOne running Entertainment OS) is available to "Rogers Xfinity Streaming" customers and as an add-on to "Rogers Xfinity App TV". However, as far as I know, it is not yet generally available to Rogers Xfinity TV customers.
Unless this new hardware and other Xfinity TV enhancements will be generally available soon, Rogers needs to be careful about what they advertise.
