How to assign more than one forwarding port to one device?

Recently I upgraded my Rogers Internet to Xfinity XB8 modem from old Coda. The modem setup is split between the Xfinity app and internal modem web interface. One of the issues I have is very limited port forwarding. I used to be able to cross external public ports to different internal Lan ports, assign a range and multiple ports to the same device. In the new modem XB8 the port forwarding page is disabled and controls are transferred to the Xfinity app. The only thing possible in the app is to assign an active device a single forward port. Once the port is assigned the device is gone from the list of port forwarding devices.

I have multiple services running on this device and need more than one port open. How do I open another port pointing to the same device?

The port forward part changed a little.

Yeah, you cant fully do a range to a range anymore.

You can select a single to a range (though i dont know why you would).
Its down at the bottom of  adding that port forward.

You can add additional ones to the same end device.
After you add the one, should show in the list.
Click on the edit for it.
There should be an Add Port, where it will allow another port added for that one device.

If you are doing more sophisticated network config you might want to get your own router and put the XB8 in bridge mode.

@Gdkitty  Thank you for your reply.

Yes, when the first "Port Forward" is created there is option in the app under that device "Add Por Number" and "Add Port Range". I don't know why I didn't see it before. It works and it's dynamic from the app, applies the changes on the fly, no modem reboot required. The ports could be open and closed as needed and when needed only 🙂

It's an option that I'm trying to avoid if I can. All I need from the modem is static IP's DHCP reserved based on MAC addresses and few port forward functions. The modem XB8 Gen 3 is very good, fast with strong 6G WiFi. Static IP in DHCP assignment was a bit challenging. The modem does't allow to populate the table with MAC addresses and corresponding IP's. It's more of assign IP to the device on the network that already got automatic IP. It all works good now.
