I'm trying to install a security camera that operates on 2.4G

The rogers modems, do support 2.4 and 5ghz connections.
Most security and smart devices, generally run on the 2.4.

The wifi on the rogers modems, by default, combine the SSIDs.  So you really only see the one SSID when looking for the wifi, and it selects the right band at the time.
SOME of those smart devices are find with this setup, and communicate and connect fine with this.

But it seems that some of them, do not.  (personally, i have over 40 smart devices, and none have had an issue yet)

The only option at that point, is that you will have to separate the SSID's.
I THINK this is still doable. But its not doable through the app,  You have to do it through the web interface for the modem.

(Unfortunately, not at home right now so cant really walk through the menu on how right now)
