Hello,
ever since there was a “network enhancement” in my area on April 17, both my download speeds and my upload speeds have been consistently slower (doesn't matter what time of day). This relates to both my wired and wireless connections. I am currently on the 1.5Gbps/50Mbps plan. Above are the speeds I would get before the work done in my area, below what I now get. Can someone please look into this? Thanks.

Speeds are always high with the app, I can easily get up to 1.8Gbps+.
Anyhow, a tech came over today, came inside and saw that it wasn't a problem with my equipment, so he ran some tests outside and determined that it was an issue with a connection coming into my home. He fixed that connection outside, we ran some speed tests on my PC, checked my internet connection again, my TVs, and now all is back to normal and as it was a few weeks ago.
Therefore, you can close this thread as all was resolved. 👍
*PS: I apologize for my previous reply, I didn't want to seem rude.

Check out the following post on the topic of slower than expected speeds. Use the app to check the speed at the gateway.

I already know all of this, have been testing with the app, etc, etc for quite a while. I installed a brand new PCIe card a few weeks ago which gives me up to 5Gps if I should be able to reach that in the future, I don't have anything bridged on the modem, I don't use Killer cards, etc, etc.
Plus, point 8 specifically addresses my concern (in bold), I quote: “8. Most people on the “500 Mbps” plans get download speeds of 1 Gbps or more on speedtests. People with “1.5 Gbps” plans typically get 1.8-1.9 Gbps. Upload speeds can depend on your area with some limited to around 50 Mbps and other newer/reconfigured areas capable of 150-180 Mbps.”
Again, I was able to reach those speeds (in bold) BEFORE the “maintenance", “enhancement” or whatever Rogers wants to call it was done. Is it so difficult for a tech to look into this? I also am aware that if there was a node split, this sometimes (or often) happens. With all due respect, some of use are not ignorant in such matters. Our family has been with Rogers since the 1980s, never switched to another provider, and just like other customers deserve it, we also deserve the services we pay for. If I'm paying for 1.5Gbps and my network card is capable of more than that, then I should be getting those upload speeds.

Per Step two of my checklist, what speed did the Xfinity app say you were getting at the gateway?
