Just want to thank you Rogers, once again, for the loss of yet another work day due to your flimsy infrastucture. Feel free however, to charge me full price and raise it yearly. Lucky for you you have a monopoly if not for that, you'd ha e been off the map years ago.

Unfortunately, Home based internet, is just that, meant for the home, and generally doesnt have the same sort Service Level Agreements as business internet.
Some business internet has guarantees to have someone out within 4 hours the same day, etc.
BUT, business internet generally is MORE expensive, due to paying essentially for that sort of SLA.
Generally if internet is mandatory for work, dont want to loose business, etc, always best to have some form of backup available as well. (Cellular, etc, even if off a phone). If this is for running your own business, you should be able to write off the internet, cell, etc as a business expense.

I agree 100 percent with gdkitty. Residential internet is just that, for home use. Rogers sells business internet accounts for that purpose, for business use with a different service level agreement than that of residential users.
If you are operating a business and need internet, It is different than being an employee for a company and working from home.
